A new model for reuse
We built AMP to support adaptive reuse, community activation, and student-led programming that makes malls relevant again.
We believe that malls are some of the strongest third spaces a community can have. We work with malls to ensure people stay connected to one another and their local culture.
AMP emerged from a growing need to rethink the role of malls in everyday life. Rather than treating vacant retail properties as dead space, we saw them as opportunities for culture, entrepreneurship, learning, and neighborhood connection.
We built AMP to support adaptive reuse, community activation, and student-led programming that makes malls relevant again.
Our work connects mall owners, local partners, youth leaders, and residents around shared visions for public life.
Every activation we support is designed to strengthen both the building and the communities around it.
Kyla DeCambre is the founder of AMP and serves as Chief Executive Officer. She created the organization to challenge the idea that malls must be left behind, and to help communities reimagine them as dynamic spaces for connection and opportunity.
Her leadership centers on partnerships, strategic growth, and building a network of people who care about preserving place while creating new public value.
